This covered dish is meant to be a sanctuary for precious items. Its design was inspired by a window in Le Mans Cathedral dating back to 1441. Visiting and eventually living in Le Mans the past year allowed me to visit the cathedral frequently, and each time, I noticed new details. This is one of the most beautiful churches I’ve been in, and it has inspired many works of mine.
